Shaya Danziger - IAC Eitanim Portland Mentor

My name is Shaya Danziger, I am 37 years old and live in Portland Oregon. I am an electrical engineer and I work at Intel – managing a team that develops automation tools for testing Intel’s CPUs. I have 2 cats that were born in Israel and relocated with me to the US 5 years ago but understand only Hebrew.

I was born in New York City, and my family made Aliya when I was a kid. I served in the Israeli army in the Golani brigade, and in college studied electrical engineering. I’ve been working at Intel since 2010 in Israel, Santa Clara CA and Hillsboro OR.

In 2021 I started working with Jewish youth as a mentor in the Portland Eitanim Project – connecting them to Israeli wellness values, innovation and leadership skills, and absolutely love it. I enjoy working with the younger generation and sharing my experiences growing up in Israel.

You can find me outdoors most weekends. Snowboarding in the winter, hiking and backpacking in the summer, or fishing out of my kayak.
